End Of Term

Hiya… it’s been a while. I know we said this newsletter thing was gonna be a regular occurrence and, well, it hasn’t really panned out that way – we’re sorry about that! Extra workload, deadlines, stress, cold weather: the usual suspect got to us unfortunately. The good news is, apart from stocking our shelves with vitamin D, we have a bunch of exciting stuff coming to tell you about.

Before that, and it may seem like an eternity away for some of you now, much love to everyone that attended Strange Parade last month. There was a great atmosphere throughout the night and all the acts certainly brought their A-game. We’re looking at locking in another date when the new year comes around for a similar night, fingers crossed!

Upcoming events:
This coming Sunday (2nd Dec) we are back at Wharf, this time in collaboration with STAR. They are a great bunch of people who very kindly asked if we would like to have a go at collaborating with them. As a result, we’ve put together four acts we think you’ll love, as well as a couple of spoken word performers dotted throughout. All the money raised will be going directly towards STAR’s varied efforts to help out refugees and asylum seekers in Leeds. Make sure to RSVP here if you think you’ll make an appearance, we can’t think of many better ways to end a weekend 🙂

The week after on Sunday 9th we are hosting our end of term party, woop woop! We are still waiting for final confirmation from the venue but once we get it we’ll aim to get an event up ASAP. Expect a mixtape swap, open decks, karaoke and other niceties.

New purchases:

We recently bought a whole bunch of new stuff again, but are currently waiting for one final thing to arrive before we pick the lot up. Sadly, this means you’ll have to wait a few more days until you can have a jam to them, we promise it’ll be worth the wait. We’re going to dedicate a whole newsletter at the end of the year to write-ups of the most cherished records we purchased. In the meantime, we thought it would be best to present to you a list of everything we’ve bought so far – incase you might have missed a trick with some of them.
